Friday: Miles Davis’s early electric music was an enthralling, groundbreaking, funk and rock infused jazz style that never grows old. This octet “Listen to This”, featuring great local talent including Jerome Deupree (Morphine), Dave Bryant (Ornette Coleman) and Russ Gershon (Either/Orchestra, Lookie-Lookie), recreates that sound in a way that is pretty much guaranteed to blow you away. Every performance they have put on has generated a standing ovation, including their 3 previous appearances at the Distillery.
